SALES EXECUTIVE

 

The primary role is to support the sales teams in their day-to-day roles. In so doing, making processes involved smoother and quicker, and making the sales team more informed and inspired about what is happening in the market.

The role enables salespeople to undertake more client meetings and delivers more content and ideas that the sales team can run with.

In addition to specific weekly responsibilities, the role demands a level of pro-activity to ensure that both personal development and sales support are being delivered.

This is an entry level role and should be a gateway to progression into either the sales or marketing teams.

Weekly responsibilities to support the sales team

To create content that increases the productivity of the sales team

  • Compile a deck of creatives due live on i-media formats for the period to come. This is to be presented in team meetings as they go live and must be displayed on the breakout area screen.
  • Updating and maintaining a ‘What’s up this week’ excel. Adding campaigns recorded on the team WhatsApp group to those seen by you across similar formats. Excel to be shared on teams bi-weekly. For big or creative campaigns these should also be added to the Quarterly news deck.
  • Compile sales leads (in addition to above) from industry publications (eg Alf and Campaign) and social media channels. This will include things like upcoming launches as well as campaigns just gone live. This will include campaigns on other media channels. This is to be sent as a document on teams bi-weekly and referenced in the sales meetings as appropriate.
  • Note key pieces of industry news. This would include account moves, people moves, interesting pieces on other media. For example, if TV prices are inflated, or advertisers are pulling budgets from specific channels or media owners. This to be added to the quarterly news document and shared via teams and mentioned in sales meetings as appropriate.
  • To ensure all new photography is put into slides and shared with the relevant salesperson so they can send to clients and competitors.

To assist the sales team as appropriate each week and with your line manager prioritise any work as appropriate. Responsibilities will include:

  • Supplying specific pieces of content (such as a map, site list or proposal slides)
  • Producing a complete response to brief proposal
  • Sending pieces of content to clients such as campaign imagery and competitive reports

To attend external sales meetings with our clients each week (at least 2 per week) so as to:

  • Learn from seeing our proposition presented, discussed and challenged.
  • Develop understanding of how the OOH industry works and what i-media’s place in it is.
  • To build your confidence in speaking about the i-media proposition and what it can deliver for clients.
  • To build your own relationships with the planning and buying community at the OOH specialist agencies

 

Client servicing expectations

i-media are a media owner within the OOH advertising sector outside the ‘big 4’. As such we have to work hard for clients’ time, consideration and spend.

It’s paramount, therefore, that every interaction our clients have with us is a positive one.

All forms of communication, written, on the phone and in person or at events, needs to be relevant informative and beneficial.

On occasions you will be representing i-media with our clients and so need to ensure you are able to highlight and discuss the OOH landscape and the role i-media can play in it.

Salary Expectations

£25k – £30k
